what is your process?

First things first. You’ll have a complimentary consultation to go over all your details. In preparation of your consultation I will mail you a samples package so that you can touch and feel all the pretty paper for yourself. Consultations will be done over a video conference so that you don’t need to travel a great distance. If you are in the Prince Edward County area, please let me know if you’d be interested in an in-person consultation instead of the standard video call.

During the meeting, we will talk all about the look and feel of your wedding style, and what specific items will be best suited for your wedding stationery. We’ll talk about colour palette, paper and even the wording for all your pieces — all these little details will make your invitation truly special.

Within a day, I will then send you a detailed quote with options for you to choose from, along with a draft of your wedding invitation wording. Once approved, a 50% deposit is required before getting started on your first design proof.

What printing services do you provide?

We specialize in letterpress printing – which is made using an antique printing press on beautifully soft paper. It leaves a pressed indentation in the paper that you can feel. We also offer foil stamping and digital printing.

I already have a design for my invitations. Can you print them for me?

No. As a measure in quality assurance we only print what we design in house. We would be happy to use your ideas as inspiration as we design your invitation.

Do you offer envelope addressing?

Yes! We can print your addresses on your envelopes digitally or you have the option of calligraphy as well.

When should I start?

If you’re planning on sending out Save-the-Dates, as soon as your have your venue and date secured we can get started. Generally speaking save-the-dates will go out 8 – 12 months before the wedding day. (Sometimes longer if it’s a destination wedding or on a holiday).

Invitations generally go out about 3 months before the wedding. It’s good to start the process about 6–8 months before your wedding. Custom design and printing can take about 6–8 weeks, however if speciality paper or items are being made it could also be a little bit longer.

Regarding Day-of Stationery; it’s good to start the process about 2 months before your wedding. Things would include Seating Charts, programs, place cards, table numbers, etc.

Do you have specific fonts that I need to choose from?

No, there is no list of fonts to choose from. Through your consultation I will have a really great idea of your style and be able to offer some beautiful suggestions that will suit your style. Most of the time these are not traditional fonts that you will find on any old computer – these are specially designed fonts that will look perfect for your style. We work tirelessly to find the perfect look and feel for your stationery.

What paper options do you have?

Our standard letterpress paper is a 100% cotton, beautifully soft paper. It comes in a bright white, ivory, and warm white, and available in a thick or double thick card stock. We also offer handmade paper options with a lovely deckled edge, in a variety of colours. For our digital printed pieces we use 100% recycled papers that are very thick with a smooth finish, which also comes in a variety of colours. We tend to stay away from papers that use virgin trees. If during your consultation we discover that a specialty paper would be best, we will source it for you.
