Our Process

Step 1 — Let's Connect!

I'd love for you to get exactly what you want for your invitations and I know the internet is just swamped with ideas and options. It can seem very overwhelming. I'm going to make this as easy-peasy as possible for you. I work with couples all over the world to deliver stunning wedding invitations that truly speak to their wedding day. If you're a UK bride or getting married the United States or as far away as Australia, we can still work together. Not a big deal at all.

To get a detailed quote start by filling out the questionnaire and within 2-3 business days you will get a details proposal with all the price breakdowns in your email. If you'd rather book a free consultation to talk about your ideas, book a time that works for you through out consultation page. If you'd like to just start with an email, you can reach me, Amanda —  hello@silverplatepress.com

Step 2 — Consultation & Booking

Once you're happy with the quote, we will put together your contract at which point a 50% deposit is due. We will then have a detailed design consultation. You will get to work one-on-one with a professional wedding stationery designer to make your invitations! Yay! Nothing better than custom, right?

Step 3 – Designing & Making

I will start designing your invitations, using your wording (I can help you with this part) and your design inspiration that we had talked about in your questionnaire and consultation. You will get 3 initial design concepts and 3 rounds of changes. If you're choosing a design that is perfect just the way it is from our collection, you get one initial design and up to 3 rounds of changes. Once you are 100% happy with the PDF proof, it's time to "sign off" and I get started on making them – using time, patience, and an obsessive eye for detail. I use my antique printing press (from 1936) to letterpress print invitations, however I also offer digital printing and foil stamped invitations.

You have the option of purchasing the design file and printing yourself – once you have signed off, I will ask for the remaining amount due and then send you a high resolution (print-ready) file that you can either print yourself or take to a local printer.

Step 4 – Shipping your invitations

Once your invitations are complete, I will express post them to you! Shipping is free on all domestic order over $500. Before I ship them I will invoice you the remaining amount. A couple days later you will be holding your invitations in your hands for the first time! Making your wedding day officially official and setting the stage of what will be the most amazing day!
