if you can customize your coffee, you should be able to customize your wedding invitations too.

finding the exact wedding invitation you’re looking for can be hard.
I’m here to make it easy.

One of my favourite ways of working with you is to design your wedding invitations from scratch. Figuring out exactly what you need by gathering inspirations from your flowers, your venue, your style and what you like, and most importantly what you want your guests to feel when they open up that beautiful piece of snail mail… that’s how I design and make invitations that couples are loving so much.

Silverplate Press / Amanda & her letterpress
Amanda beautifully designed and printed our wedding invitation suite and day-of materials with skill and patience. Not only were they stunning, they were also one of a kind. Amanda is very talented—she is also responsive, thoughtful, and accommodating. Together, these qualities made the custom designing process a breeze from start to finish. Amanda goes the extra mile and her added personal touches did not go unnoticed. I highly recommend Silverplate Press. It doesn’t get better than this!

What happens now? How are custom letterpress invitations made?

We talk a lot about your style, your vision, and if you have any inspiration for your invitations at all. Once I have a good idea about the design direction, I will ask you what you want it to say. If you need help with your invitation wording, no sweat, I have a guide for that!

I love designing the initial concepts – usually you’ll get about 3 different ideas, and you also get 3 rounds of changes. This is plenty in order to get the exact fonts and layout that you’ll love. You’ll get PDF proofs sent to you email.

Once you “sign off” on the design (after double checking that all spelling/grammar is correct), then I’ll get to work on making them! I use my beautiful antique printing press to letterpress each invitation, one at a time, one colour at a time. That’s what leaves the amazing pressed look in the paper.

Then you will get them in the mail and usually I get an email that says something like this:

Thank you so much Amanda we received your package yesterday evening!! Everything is so much more beautiful in person. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making this work! We are so pleased that we decided to go with you and now have a beautiful keepsake to keep forever.
